VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

 

Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas at the Children's Advocacy Center.  Volunteers are essential to the Center's ability to fulfill our mission for the community.  Please contact us today if you are interested in helping the Center.

 

Child and Family Advocacy:  This is for the individual who enjoys working directly with children and families.  These volunteers  welcome  children and their families to the Center with a kind word and smile and sit with them in the waiting area.  This position might also include providing follow-up calls to families that have been served at the Center.

 

Medical Assessment Assistant: This position entails assisting the Center's Doctor with the medical exams of children who may have been abuse victims. 

 

Special Event and Fundraising Assistance:  The Center is always in need of volunteers willing to help coordinate and organize fund raising events and activities on behalf of the Center.  Volunteers also assist at events and other outreach activities.


Clerical Assistance and Support:  If your expertise is more administrative in nature, help is always needed organizing crime victim and community resource packets for families as well as providing general office and clerical support.

 

Prevention Program Support:  The Prevention Program needs include clerical assistance and support, child care, and special event assistance.
