WHO WE ARE

Lincoln County Children's Advocacy Center was founded on the idea of creating a safe and neutral environment to evaluate, assist and counsel children and families where child abuse/neglect is suspected.  The vision was to create an intervention/healing place and process for child victims of abuse who, prior to the creation of the center, had been interviewed in police stations.

Our team consists of an executive director, medical director, forensic interviewers, child advocates, prevention staff and counselors.  Assisting the staff are a corps of critical volunteers.

The foundation of the Children's Advocacy Center is the provision of a special place for coordination of an interagency team approach to suspected child abuse cases.  This interagency collaboration is based on a system response and not just a facility.  Our goal is to help reduce trauma for the child and to improve outcomes.

We are especially happy to find new volunteers who share our commitment to helping child abuse victims and their families. Do you want to support us by volunteering? Then do not hesitate to contact us. A helping hand is always greatly appreciated!
